Emma works with dancers preparing for Royal Academy of Dance examinations, helping them develop a secure understanding of their syllabus work while refining technique, musicality, artistry and presentation.
Coaching is often arranged during the 1–3 months leading up to an examination and can be delivered privately or directly through a dancer’s school.
The RAD Training Pathway
The Royal Academy of Dance syllabus provides a structured pathway from the earliest levels through to advanced vocational training. Emma offers private coaching from age 7 upwards.
Emmas coaching covers all exam levels for the RAD: Pre-Primary, Primary, Grades 1–8, Intermediate Foundation, Intermediate, Advanced Foundation, Advanced 1, Advanced 2 and Solo Seal Award.

Private RAD Coaching
Individual coaching allows dancers to work intensively on the areas most relevant to their examination preparation.
Sessions can reinforce syllabus knowledge while developing technical accuracy, musicality, presentation and confidence.
Private coaching is particularly useful as additional preparation alongside a dancer’s regular training at their own dance school.

Emma works directly with dance schools to provide focused RAD examination coaching in the weeks and months leading up to examination dates.
Sessions can be arranged for any exam level, with longer coaching time advised for Vocational examinations.
Students benefit from concentrated time to refine their work before their examination date.

Refinement coaching during the final preparation period before examinations.
Focused Time for Each Grade
A typical full-day visit includes around 1 hour with each grade and 1.5–2 hours with vocational grades.
Single or Multi-Day Visits
Some schools arrange several days of coaching depending on the number of grades and students involved.
Emma travels throughout the UK and internationally for RAD examination coaching.
RAD Competition Preparation
Emma supports dancers preparing for Royal Academy of Dance competitions, including
The Bedells Bursary and The Fonteyn.
Competition preparation can include focused coaching, mentoring, variation rehearsal and support with technique, artistry, musicality and performance quality.
The aim is to help dancers approach these opportunities feeling prepared, confident and able to present their work at their highest level.
